The Shell NASCAR was on display between 11 am and 4 pm, June 6, 2024 at the Shell Gas Station in Somerset Kentucky.
The display included the car – I could look inside but not get in which I really wanted to try but all I envision John shaking his head :-). 2 Game simulators that had largest crowd primarily kids enjoying the races. Pepsi booth with Soda, Gift Raffle and RR pin (see picture). Another give away booth with pens, sanitizer spray bottle and I won car air freshener. Finally, the food – hot dogs (always a go to for me unless there is a brat), hamburgers and slushies.
I expected the NASCAR interior to be bare but not this bare. Primarily – metal bars, seat and steering wheel. The seat had a cushion, but it was hard (I couldn’t push the pad in). The pedals were what I expected (no rubber only metal.) I found an interesting gas sticker that stated – “Get Bioethanol”. Originally, I was thinking this meant the gas came from used oils like cooking oil. It’s actually ethanol from corn kernel starch. Biodiesel uses the spent cooking oils.
