When a Tree Falls does it make noise if no one is around? Since a crowd was watching, yes the tree made noise. But not as much as I thought.
When we arrived & parked our camper at Findley State Park, we saw a large pine tree (probably 16 inches diameter and probably 75 feet tall) was leaning forward with the roots starting to come out of the ground. We were concerned with the tree falling on our camper especially since thunderstorms and rain was predicted for the week.

The park agreed with us and said the tree would be removed in 1 to 2 days. The catch was the park had only 4 open sites for us to temporarily use. The sites were smaller than this site and farther away from the bathhouse. We ended up in Site 201.
2 Days later the tree was taken down by the park workers. It became a park event because the tree removal generated large crowd in lawn chairs watching the event. (Nothing like working under pressure) It took them about 1 1/2 hours to take the tree down and remove the large pieces. The removal of debris would have taken longer except trunk and branches weren’t removed from the site only place behind in the wooded area.

We moved back to site 224 that evening and happily enjoying the pine scented campsite.
