When leaving Stonelick, the challenge was finding a path to the I71 that was acceptable. We drove multiple routes and decided the best option was going the same way we came in. The way we came in had no room to pull over and hills (Mackie became car sick).
Looking at a map and google maps…. You should take Hwy 89 to Hwy 58. Hwy 89 is closed and being redone. The alternate route listed below was a great path and should be followed in the future.
Driving Directions (214 Miles
- Take Hwy 727 towards Cincinatti (Multiple small hills back-to-back & no room to pull over)
- Right turn onto Hwy 132
- Left onto 28W
- Right onto I275
- Exit 49B (right) onto I71
- Exit 101 onto 270W which turns into North
- Exit 26 (right) onto I71N
- Exit 186 (right) onto 250 (left at the lights)
- Right onto 250 towards Norwalk
- Left onto 58 North
- Stop lights turn left onto 58N towards Wellington
- At “V” in road stay right onto 58N (just after Nankin)
- At 5-way intersection, stay on 58N
- Cross train tracks just after Sullivans
- Right into Findley State Park at sign
- Continue taking right until at the campground

Stonelick State Park Campground
Campground Information
- All sites either E50 or E30. No water or sewer sites.
- Camp Host only have electric
- 1 Dump Location that can be driven to from either side to dump
- Potable water probably 30 feet from dump station. You might have issues with getting potable water if someone is dumping
- Potable water with gray water dump (for dish washing water) throughout the campground.
- Water is clear and looks like it’s in good condition.
- The Bathhouse is nice and in good condition.
- Water becomes nice and hot.
- Toilet paper way to low to reach and very thin. Hard to get enough to use.
- No air conditioning
- Sites are short but many are double wide. So we were able to fit 5th wheel, truck and car. See picture
- Friends of Stonelick have heavily contributed to the park.
- Great Naturalist programs that are free
- Many fun family activities: basketball, table tennis, pickleball, corn hole, volleyball, etc.
- Very well taken care of park.

Site 88
- Exactly 38 feet long. Hanging off enables Trailer and cars to fit.
- E50 only.
- Close enough to potable water & gray dump station to fill from campsite.
- Web site indicates >100 feet which is incorrect.
- Must fill and disconnect
- No leveling boards required.
- Ran the power cord behind the truck and plugged in to outlet
- Able to keep the trailer @73 degrees in 90+ degrees weather
- No power issues
