Longmont, CO, April 2025
We started off the moving day with about an inch of snow and 29 degrees at 7 am. If you know me, I’m not fond of the cold. We made the decision to sleep in and get up at 8:30 and leave around 11 or so. Hoping the snow would be mostly off the road and a little warmer for putting away everything (such as dumping waste tanks, disconnect water & electric, sweeping the roof, etc.)
Turns out it was still cold. John was the unlucky soul who had to bear the brunt of the cold. When he came in from sweeping the snow off the roof, John’s comment was I can’t feel my feet and I can’t wait to go south next year. When John cleans the roof, you can’t wear shoes to prevent damage. So, he was walking on slushy snow.
Evening though we left later than normal and drove through Denver, we arrived at the park around 3:30 pm. Fortunately, today’s drive was only 157 miles.
We saw a few mountain tops on the drive. Hopefully, we will see mountains once the clouds give way. If you look very closely at the picture, a mountain can be seen in the distance.

And I had to take a couple sunset pictures.

I loved how the light mirrored off the water.
