Seibert, CO, April 2025
Seibert, Colorado is a town of 5 blocks square, 176 people, has 3 places to eat, no grocery stores, 1 school serving K – 12, and a post office that been in operation since 1888.
We found a few endearing things about the town that we thought you might enjoy.
The first thing we saw was quite a few wood street signs. We found a couple metal signs too, but I liked the charm of the wood signs.

The park had a bright red modern phone booth. I can understand the need for a booth since not all cell carriers had great service in the park.
As a kid, we had two bunnies: Daisy and Lulu. Daisy was a beautiful white bunny with red eyes. Though it turned out she was a Duke but we didn’t change his name. Lulu really was a girl but had a mean streak and loved to bite. The campground had an adorable wild bunny running around. Every time I went outside, I had to locate and say Hi. The bunny probably thought “Who’s the crazy person whose following me around!”
The K – 12 school looked like it was one of the towns newer buildings. The football and track field were located next to the school. Personally, I would worry about falling on the track since the surface was a hard asphalt.
The town had a fire / EMS station. I’m not sure if the red house on top of the pole is for birds or a tornado alarm. If you know, please respond the post.

As for eating establishments, the town had a new BBQ place that states open 11 to 1 and 5-7 pm. The campground owner told us to look for a banner outside indicating the restaurant was open. We were in town for 2 days and the BBQ place was not open either day (contrary to the hours sign :-0). We ended up going to the 1 and only gas station in town which also subs as the 2nd restaurant. The food was acceptable but nothing to write home about. The 3rd restaurant was a Mexican restaurant on wheels. We never located it. So can’t provide a review.
On our last day a cold spell came through the area. We had maybe an inch of light snow and below freezing weather. We didn’t have any issues with keeping the trailer warm or the water lines bursting. But we did have to clean snow off the vehicles and trailer.
