Grand Teton National Park, WY, June 2025
Today was a phenomenal day for collecting Cancel Stamps. I collected 12 stamps in total. This is the most I have collected in a single day!! John was very patient and understanding about my obsession. Especially since we got up at 6 am and didn’t get back until 7 pm. We drove around 225 miles to collect the stamps.
If you are wondering “What are cancel stamps?” Cancel stamps can be obtained by visiting National Parks, Monuments, Forests, etc. Some state parks like Ohio, Arkansas, Wyoming, etc. also have cancel stamps but I do not place state cancel stamps in my national book. I have separate books for state cancel stamps. Usually, the cancel stamps are located in the visitor center, park office or museum.
I have the Collector’s Edition Passport to you National Parks book. Here’s the link to learn more about the book. Passport To Your National Parks® Collector’s Edition — America’s National Parks
The books broken out into regional sections.

Typically, the book only has only one cancel stamp spot per park. Today, we focused on the Grand Teton National Park and John D Rockefeller, JR Memorial Parkway.

Parks like Grand Teton National Park have multiple cancel stamps that can be collected. In the case of multiple cancel stamp for one location, the back of each region has extra pages to place those stamps. You can even purchase extra blank pages that can be added to your book. I will probably purchase blank pages before leaving Yellowstone National Park.
I was able to collect stamps from 12 cancel stamps today. The stamps represent: 1 from Rockefeller Memorial Parkway, 7 from various locations in the Grand Teton National Park, 3 from National Elk Refuge, and 1 from Jackson National Fish Hatchery.

I plan to mail out postcards with cancel stamps as the main message in the next couple days. I hope you enjoy them.
