Sunday was a great day to hang out at the trailer and enjoy almost warm weather. We started the day with biscuits, bacon and egg sandwiches while watching “The Great British Sewing Bee” on Roku.

When it was warm enough to enjoy the “Great Outdoors” (with no grizzly stories or visits :-), John pulled out the electric weed wacker and trimmed around the cement pad and electrical hookups.

I’ve been really craving fire roasted hot dogs. So, I proceeded to clean out the firepit that had a least 2 feet of ash in it. In total, I filled 5 kitchen bags to remove 1 foot of ash. Apparently in Kansas, the park and camp hosts do not clean the fire pits.

The cleaning of the fire pit was well worth it. We had hot dogs and ‘smores. Yummy!!

Later, I walked to the lake looking for various birds. Because of the high winds, we didn’t see as many birds.

Our new campsite 119 has great sunset views. I believe the lack of light caused the selfie to be distorted. The sunset on Monday was nicer than Sunday, but I was slow on the draw and missed it. (Mostly because I was in the middle of making supper and didn’t want to overcook the chicken.)
