Lake Murray State Park, OK, February 2026
We are officially on the road again. Lake Murray was our first stop but only for the night 🙁
Lake Murray State Park has been on our camping list for a couple years. Last year, we cancelled the trip due to working on John’s mom’s house. This year, we canceled all but 1 night because of work on John’s sister house.
In the single night that we stayed, we took a short walk around to get a feel for the park. Both of us were happy with it, and we would like to visit Lake Murray for a longer period of time. (Maybe, two days next time?) In this trip, our goal was to not to unhook the trailer. Site 003 was perfect for our goal. Normally, we have to put boards under the trailer tires to level the trailer behind the truck. The trailer pad was about 2 inches higher than the gravel. So, we did not even have to use boards. Woohoo!
The site was extremely long and close to a bathhouse, which was also handy. Even though we had the full hookup option, we only connected the electricity.
From Tulsa RV Ranch the drive was 212 miles through partial rain but no thunderstorm which was the original forecast.
Below are pictures of the full hookup site ER003.

When we come back for more than a night, we would pick site ER002. Site ER002 has the advantage of more open sky for better Starlink service.
The park has many sites that are right next to the lake. These sites would have been great, except they are too short for our trailer. And if the trailer rolls off the back of the cement pad, you would be IN the lake.
We did find a pull through site, ER068, that would fit our trailer with a great lake view. The major drawback is that the site is only electric and water. It was also at the bottom of a hill, so John was worried a little about flooding during rain due to the drifts of mud / sand in the side.
We had fun taking pictures of the site ER068 and posing.
