John and I have been in search of wood ducks for at least a year. One of the campers said he went fishing at Lake Palestine the prior week and saw wood ducks.

We left in hopes of seeing wood ducks, knowing that often we aren’t that lucky. This is one of those cases. We didn’t even see birds!! We did see a few fishing boats zoom by and lots of trucks & boat trailers parked along the road.

We then pulled onto a road that had a blue picnic sign. We never found the picnic area. Back home we went still dreaming of wood ducks.
