… for any information leading to the arrest of the masked bandit that chased us on the way to the shower house.

The raccoon was not being aggressive or acting odd. Our best guess is that people feed the raccoons or leave food out on picnic tables, like nitwits.
When John walked towards Kate’s car that night, he thought he saw a fuzzy grey butt dive under the car. When he backed up to look under the car for an escaped dog, a raccoon came waddling out after him. He kept backing up to keep distance from the raccoon. The raccoon was aggressive or scary, but rabies certainly is scary. The raccoon followed us for about 20 feet.
After it stopped following us, we verified the raccoon was not hanging around under the RV. As we walked away towards the shower house, we could see two pair of eyes reflecting at a tree about 20 feet from the RV.
The next morning, we found an empty can of mixed nuts out by the tree. We think they were looking for more hand outs from us. They also might have been trying to protect their nuts.
