Food Fight!!! Wait, not quite – throw me a bun please. I might catch it or miss. The bun will fly past and hit someone else in the head. What a way to make going out to eat fun and tasty at the same time.

Robert, Glenda, John and I went to Lambert’s Cafe in Foley, Alabama. Lambert’s is known for the Throwed Rolls. This is the second time we have been here and thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere. It’s homestyle food with a mild version of food fight with thrown rolls.

I had the chicken fried steak meal. Glenda had the beef tips. Robert had catfish. John was the only smart person who ordered a BBQ sandwich with 1 side. Knowing that the quantity of food was going to more than we could eat.

The pass around sides consisted of hot thrown buns, macaroni and tomato salad, fried potatoes and onion, black eyed peas, and fried okra. My favorite is the rolls and the fried potatoes and onions.

We went here two years ago while visiting the family. I totally missed the roll thrown to me and the roll hit the person on the table next to me. This year I caught the roll (woohoo). Below is a video of the roll throwing lady.

Overall, it was a wonderful day with excellent company.
