Stonelick State Park is located about 25 minutes from Cincinatti, Ohio. Geologically when the Appalachian Mountains were forming to the east, the bedrock layer west of the mountains was elevated, creating the Cincinnati Arch. As a result, this area is known for its fossil hunting finds. We did not have an opportunity to go fossil hunting on this trip but look forward to it in the future.
The best part about the campground is the abundance of things to do. If you didn’t have the equipment, the park rented it for a very reasonable rate. Including selling Hugs for 50 cents (ok maybe the juice container but still cool) .
Sport activities: Pickleball, basketball, volleyball, corn hole, horse shoes, etc.

The campsite was paved. Not the longest but they had a few doublewides that were ideal for our camper. (38 feet longer and 20 feet wide.
Plenty of nice people for me to talk with and make new friends.
History of Stonelick
June 2024 Stonelick SP site 88 had Electric. (no water or sewer). We were able to fill our fresh water tank from a nearby spicket. We had sun in the morning and shade from @ 5 pm on.
June 2024 Stonelick SP – the pad was exactly 38 feet long and 20 feet wide. Our trailer is 38 feet long. We decided to park the camper on the far left and have power line behind the truck to fit all vehicles. The park says no parking on the grass. Park rules state no parking on the grass. Though we saw it not followed on almost every site including camp hosts.
The Friends Pavilion that held special events.
Large variety of rentals that are reasonably priced. For $1 you can rent pickleball equipment, volleyball or basketball, table tennis equipment, etc.
Summer weekend, movies with free popcorn are shown in the pavilion.
The canoe and Kayak storage area looks like it’s next to a small beach but isn’t. It’s only for taking in and out of the water. There is a larger roped off beach area for swimming.
Fishing and canoe/kayak loading ramp.
The basketball and pickleball court.
Volleyball, Horseshoes, and Cornhole. If you didn’t have everything needed, it could be rented for $1 for the day
Table Tennis
Hugs could be bought for 50 Cents. Though the Friends said I could have a Hug for free.
18 hole course Map. Many of the holes went through wooded area. I watched one guy throw and it went right into a tree. I didn’t wait to see if he lost frisbee.
Each of the disc golf throwing station (don’t know the technical name :-)) has a post of the hole information. I found it interesting that each site had a sponsor and plant fact.
Starting Throw Point. Each starting point had a different setup. Though all had the cement pad underneath.
18th hole!!
Stonelick Camp Host Sponsored donuts for Father’s day. They had at least 10 dozen donuts, juice and milk. This was a fun treat that John loved eating.
Campground Hosts serving donuts.
Stonelick SP Beach – The beach was large and had sand vs. mud. Also test weekly for bacteria that could be unhealthy to humans.
