Driving Directions
- (0.0 miles) Head towards the park exit
- (0.2 miles) Turn on Weld County Road 24 1/2
- (1.0 miles) Left on County Road 7
- (1.5 miles) Left onto CO-119 / Firestone Blvd
- (2.6 miles) Left onto I-25 North
- (153 miles) Take exit 92, on right, to US-26 / Heartland Expressway towards Guernsey / WY ARNG Training Site
- (168 miles) Left on Lakeside Drive / WY-317 towards Guernsey State Park
- (169 miles) Left on Skyline Drive across from pay station. (Note: Steep hill) (Note: Park office is at 170 miles on Lakeside Drive)
- (172 miles) Pavement ends just before Sandy Beach Campground. If possible, enter Sandy Point Campground and exit the far side to avoid the worst gravel roads.

- 68.3 miles Exit 7, Loves Travel Stop (right, few pull-thru, Wendys), Sinclair Gas Station (right, few pull-thru), Flying J Travel Center (left, pull-thru, Dennys), (near: McDonalds)
- 115 miles, Exit 54, Rest Area on I-25 (Limited RV spots on sides)
- 140 miles, Exit 78, Sinclair Gas Station (left, small, dirt behind)
- 141 miles, Exit 80, Sinclair Gas Station (right, small, A&W)
- Exit 92 onto heartland has a rest area immediately upon exiting the interstate
General Notes
- If you stay at Skyline, Newell Bay, Sandy Beach, Sandy Point, Cottonwood Cove, or Sandy Cove Campground, you will have to U-turn at the Park office.
- As of 2025, you will have to drive on a terrible dirt/gravel road, if you stay in Sandy Beach, Sandy Point, Cottonwood Cove, or Sandy Cove Campground.
- Drive Slow On Gravel. In some spots, 5 mph is not unreasonable.
- Going the wrong way through Sandy Beach Campground skips some of the worst dirt/gravel road
