Annually, the Friends of Hillsdale State Park organizes Trick R Treating in the campground. We were fortunately to be in the park again this year for the event.

We did not have as elaborate of a setup as last year. Last year, we carved pumpkins and put out fall decoration. This year, I put out a small table with fall tablecloth, black cat bowl and put my fall mum next to it. I received quite a few compliments on my beautiful mum. Please note: I purchased the mum almost 2 months ago and it’s finally blooming…

The event went from 5 to 7 pm. For treats, I had 400 of the small Hershey’s milk chocolate bars. I figured 3 per kids should be enough. I was wrong… I gave 3 per kid until I was down to the last 50 bars. At 50 bars, I switched to 2 bars per kid. I believe between 125 and 150 kids came to my site. I closed shop 45 minutes early with only 8 pieces of candy left.
