A lot of small towns have wonderful adventures. In this case, it was the Mountainburg Township with a population of 1,764.
The park had a large variety of new and older attractions. I think the dinosaurs were our favorites. Although, I did love playing the instruments and watching John on the merry go round. I sang “faster, faster, need another master”, and I wasn’t even spinning it.
The first Dinosaur we came across was a rusted … Tyrannosaurus Rex?, and we didn’t trust riding it. (And, John thinks no man wants to be accused of having a rusty crotch.) Unfortunately, the dinosaur was hungry and tried eating John’s head. Fortunately, John’s head was too hard to bite through, and his Tetanus shot is up to date :-). The good news was that I’m too short to be a dino snack.
The baby Triceratops rodeo was outlawed in Arkansas, but they hold secret events at playgrounds across the state. John then successfully rode the baby Triceratops for 8 seconds.
Next came the larger sea serpent serpent rides. I recommend zooming in on John’s facial expression 🙂
I almost successfully rode the sea serpent, but it did buck me off when I made it to the top. I recommend rotating your head 90 degrees and turning up the volume when playing the video.
There was an adult Triceratops where you could learn about the dinosaur digestive track. John was accidentally swallowed whole. After an industrial sized dose of Triceratops-Lax, John was finally ejected from the rear end!
When a triceratops came after us. John protected me and was bitten in very uncomfortable place.
I tried to become a fireman. I would have driven the firetruck but was worried about getting splinters in my seat from the firetruck seat.
I challenged John to read the firetruck dedication sign before I realized that another newer sign was added to the side of truck. Can you read the older dedication sign?
The best for last. If you’re like me, I loved the Merry Go Round. Always pushing folks to go faster to see if I can get off and walk – stand in the middle – etc. After some instigating, John gave it a go. I recommend turning on or up the volume when playing the video.
If you listen carefully, you will distinctly hear the word “Barf”.
