Foss State Park has a lot of red clay, so many of the animal tracks are pretty clearly captured in the red soil.

After looking through animal track identification pages, this is probably a raccoon track. Those should be the two fore feet of a raccoon.

We saw many deer and some dog tracks, but the angle of the pictures on that day makes it difficult to see them. We got some additional pictures the next day.

Kate found (part of) a white-tail deer. Maybe there are no deer here, and someone is running around making hoof prints… It could happen. There are some weird people out there.

We also saw horse and mutant primate tracks, but we did not bother to take pictures of those.

When we asked about the red mounds in the campground, we learned the park has a “few” gophers. The entrance to the burrow is at the indented part of the bean shape, but they cover up the entrance.

I am not sure the park office and I agree on what “a few” means.
