Salina Campground, KS
Everyone who knows me has experienced my uncontrollable urge to goof around on playground equipment and just being silly.
The campground had a large number entertainment from workout equipment to photo stand in boards, swing set and large chairs. I hope you enjoy seeing our antics.
Since we are in Kansas, there was all kinds of Photo Stand In boards based on the “The Wizard of Oz”. Even a Tin Man.
John became enthralled and couldn’t take his eyes away from the frog band.
I’ve never been on a horse swing :-). The swing was made out of a tire and reasonably comfortable. But it can be scary when John decides to assist. Definitely no jumping off the swing.
Then there was a very large chair. John loved my approach of getting out of the chair.
We justified eating whatever we wanted due to the unexpected tornado warning the prior night and excercising on the equipment.

Both of us tried rowing. Though John was way more energetic than me.
The best for last. John building what he always wanted a Castle with a moat. I am estimating at least 10 years of construction.

I love this and how you have fun together. I did a skit in high school of a character called Edith Anne, persona of Lilly Tomlin on TV show called Laugh In. My dad made a chair for me the size of the one in these pictures. Had to take it apart to get it in and out of doors. Such fond memories…won the talent show!
I remember seeing some older shows with skits with large chairs. They were always funny. I’m glad it brought back good memories that you could share with the family.
