Garryowen, MT, July 2025
An afternoon storm with chance of high winds and 1/2 inch hail popped up. The skies all of a sudden turned dark with major wind gust rocked the trailer.

Not knowing if Montana is at higher risk for Tornados, we pulled out the cat carriers just in case we needed to move the cats to a safe location.
Cleo did not like the wind and shaking trailer….
The next thing I knew Cleo was sitting in her carrier waiting for a trip to safety.

Mackie on the other hand was waiting for someone to give him food love. I’m not sure he could hear or see the wind and rain. The good thing about becoming a geriatric cat is that you can’t hear or see well.
I did some internet researching on likelihood of tornado in Montana. Montana does get tornado but not often and usually they are a level 0 or 1. Most of the tornados occur on the southeastern part of the state.
