We have been watching the series “My Cat from Hell” starring Jackson Galaxy the cat behaviorist. The goal of Jackson is to help family keep their cat that they feel is out of control.

Fortunately, we do not have out of control cats. The biggest issue is Mackie getting bored and deciding Cleo is the play toy.

Watching the show does make me wonder… Just how many hours a day does a cat sleep.

According to the internet cats sleep 16 to 18 hours per day. That means at most cats are up 6 to 8 hours per day. Based on my experience, I agree with the 6 to 8 hours. Though, I do feel Mackie has a few modes: use Cleo as play toy, eating food while being pet, sleeping on john or near him, being pet while John carries him.

Mackie awake and using Cleo as play toy. It starts with laying net to her. Then sneakily reaching over and patting Cleo. Then it’s time for either John or myself to separate Mackie from Cleo.
