Brinkley Z3210 5th Wheel Review & Details

Marietta, GA, April 2026

John noticed that Brinkley came out with a new camper layout that is 34 feet 11 inches long (3 feet 1 inch shorter than our current trailer). This 5th wheel was fashioned off of the Brinkley Z3110 trailer frame. In this trailer design, the bunk room has a more versatile design that we were originally looking for.

Since this is a brand new design, there aren’t a lot of available 5th wheels to look at in person. We were fortunate that Three Way Camper in Marietta GA had one and was located next to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park which means another cancel stamp.

We were planning to use about 1 hour to review the RV, but we ended up taking closer to 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Review Notes:

Office (bunkroom)

  • Dimensions:
    • The width from inner wall to bunk guide was 54-55 inches.
    • The length from the surface features on the cabinet to with window was 72 inches.
    • The height from the floor to the bottom of the lower bunk was 74 inches. John could stand in the office with the bunks up and not hit his head.
  • The window bottom height was 36 inches
  • The furniture rail spacing from the back wall to interior wall was 50 1/2 inches
  • The bunks could be removed but the lower bunk has the room lights and the power to bunk would need to be disconnected.
  • The top cabinet is missing a side for use as a nightstand for the top bunk. A side would need to be added to make it a storage shelf.
  • The room is cooled via it’s own 8 K A/C.
    • The 8k A/C vents are built into the side of the A/C, and it does not connect into duct vents.
    • The Living room A/C has duct vents that also go the office. Many reviews have said these vents do not sufficiently cool the room.
  • 5 connectors on the floor for Cargo Tie downs. The trailer comes with some tie downs upon purchase.
  • The tasks for this area include
    • enclose the side of the top cabinet
    • secure John’s desk to two furniture rails
    • secure the cat stand to a furniture rail
    • secure a storage mechanism for the starlink and monitor to two furniture rails
    • remove the upper bunk
    • (possibly) modify the bunk to function better with the A/C
    • (possibly) add shelves in on or more cabinets
    • (possibly) a cover for the washing machine port

Living Room

  • The dimensions in front of the TV are about 82 inches by 82 Inches or 90 inches from the table.
  • The walls above and below the TV open for storage. This lower cabinet is where the Roku can be connected to the TV; it also houses the speaker system controls.
  • The door to TV and speaker system controls would need to be open, modified (i.e., slide to the side), or removed in order to use.
  • The two recliners in the in the middle must be individually detached and placed under the table section for driving. Most likely we would remove these recliners for euro-chairs and the recumbent bike.
  • The couch is tied or bolted down, but it can be removed.
  • The bunks come with a removable ladder
  • The tasks for this area include
    • remove the L-couch
    • install the recumbent bike
    • install two euro recliners

Kitchen / Dining Area:

  • The table has several positions, including extended quite a bit. It could easily be configured to seat 2 or 4 people.
  • The table comes with 2 chairs (not 4).
  • The chairs are not extremely comfortable.
  • The stove / oven is the kind we like with the circular burner and large enough for baking.
  • The microwave is full size over the stove and not a convection microwave.
  • Table is connected to the wall so adding a tablecloth could be difficult.
  • Some shelves would need to be added to
    • the cabinet to the right of the microwave
    • potentially the cabinets above the sink
    • potentially change the pantry drawers to shelves
    • potentially under the sink
  • The tasks for this area include
    • add shelving to the microwave cabinet, sink cabinets, and pantry
    • add bins or shelves under the sink
    • add a mechanism to secure the euro recliners and chair
    • (possibly) build or buy a seating and storage ottoman
    • (possibly) add a mechanism to secure the ottoman (in the office?)
    • (possibly) upgrade the chair(s)

Bedroom / Bathroom

  • No great place for the litter pan. It will most likely be placed in the shower.
  • We would need to be creative for bedding storage. The bedding could be put under the sink to help insulate the sink pipes. It might also fit in the short cabinets over the bed.
  • The sink is located in a slide. This design is better than the Z3110 design where you could see the outside. This is an area of concern for ensuring no freezing issues.
  • The bedroom dresser would need to have shelves added.
  • It has a medicine cabinet, but it does not have the depth of our current cabinet. It is 3 shelves instead of 2.
  • The bathroom has more storage than our current bathroom. A concern is that the hot water heater controller is in the cabinet. It might need to be covered to prevent accidentally changing the setting.
  • The end table on the left side of bed is larger than than right. The cabinets around the bed are smaller than our current trailer.
  • The bathroom shower has a bump up, as if for skylight, but there is no sky light. There is an always open vent with a mushroom on the roof.
  • The tasks for this area include
    • make a cover for the water heater controls (possibly a cool whip bowl)
    • add shelves to the dresser
    • swap the always open A/C vents for closable vents
    • (possibly) split a shelf in the medicine cabinet

General Information:

  • The living room and bedroom A/C also have heat pumps
  • The RV has a 2″ rear receiver hitch rated for 3,000 lbs with a 4 pin flat electrical connector.
  • The underside of the front has two large storage compartments. These compartments span the width at about 36″ x 48″ x 6″ each.
  • Comes with a 62 foot water hose and reel built in. The hose is not heated.
  • You can get goose neck option for an additional $1500.
  • It has a fresh tank (75 gal) and three waste tanks (85 gal bath, 30 gal kitchen, and 40 gal black).
  • It has semi-independent suspension (i.e., a little better)
  • The tasks for this area include
    • Modify the ratchet strap rear stabilizer for this RV
    • Add a shelf in the thru storage compartment

Positive notes:

  • The RV is shorter than our current RV, so it meets more national park limits.
  • The office is separated from the living room TV by the kitchen.
  • The office has an A/C, so the door can be closed in summer.
  • The waterfall counter provides more counter space than our current RV.
  • The oven is the usable style, and the microwave is larger.
  • There is no loft for MacKie to hurt himself climbing up or down
  • The upper bunk should be (non-destructively) removable(?)
  • The lower bunk has stopping pins to use it for storage
  • Brinkley has a reputation for better support

Negative notes:

  • We would need to figure out where to hang the jackets.
  • The tires and rear stabilizer are further forward
    • This reduces the trailer stability while parked (i.e., it wobbles mores when walking inside)
    • This may make the trailer less safe for towing (i.e., more porpoising and side to side sway)
  • There is no good location for cat litter
  • Bathroom sink connections in the winter could be an issue
  • The 50 amp shore electrical cord is 25 feet
  • The built in water hose is not heated.
  • We probably need to heat the underbelly with propane or winterize.
  • The RV is on the expensive side
  • The RV is on the heavier side for the truck

Things we need to find out. Brinkley has been contact with these questions.

  • Do all the tanks have tank heaters?
  • Does electrical to bottom bunk have quick disconnect?
  • Can you remove the top bunk and not the bottom bunk?
  • Does the top bunk have power connections? If yes, quick disconnect?
  • Can you drive with items on the bunk? If yes, what is the weight limit?
  • The underbelly heating. Can we set a temperature for the underbelly only and not heat the entire trailer?
