When you live in your 5th wheel, it takes time to find a trailer that fits your needs. You will never find something that meets all requirements. Our 1st trailer took us 2 years to find one that we liked. Our current trailer has a little bit of luck that we found one that was heavily discounted at the end of season.

We are researching trailers again. The focus of this trip was the Keystone Cougar 360MBI. Normally the number indicates length. In actuality it kind of does but but anywhere from 2 to 5 feet short. In this case, the length is anywhere from 39 ft 3 inches (per the keystone) or 41 feet per dealerships.

Living Room / Kitchen:

• We would take out the living room couch and replace with the recumbent bike.
• The big couch dimensions: length 68 1/2 inches and depth 34 1/2 inches. The couch would be removed and replaced with recumbent bike. Stands on both ends have plug ins.
• Furrion Chill Cube for cooling. Need to determine if this also used for office cooling. If yes, this could be an issue.
• The pantry would have space for storing the vacuum, broom and hanging jackets.
• No shoe storage under steps. Has storage 2 cubby holes to left of the steps that could be used for shoes.
• Blackout curtains throughout. All on the thinner side.
• Pantry depth behind TV 12 inches
• Same stove as current trailer
• Table bench seat drawer does not easily pull out. The top does not come off.
• Has ceiling fan

Office:

• Couch depth 34 inches. Couch would be removed and replace with John’s desk. Cat stand would also be placed in office if it fits.
• Slide depth 26 inches
• slide 29 x 68 inches. Height 61 1/2 inches tall
• total room 6 feet x 86 inches handle to wall.
• No heater return vent in the office
• Only 1 vent for AC in office. No designated AC for office. Need to determine type of AC to the office.

Exterior:

• Power cord at the back of the trailer. Trailer comes with 25 foot power cord.
• Water heater next to the water compartment door.
• 6K or 7K axles. Need to watch out for this.
• Does not have pet screen door.
• 160 inches to back from back axle.
• 45 inches rear stabilizer to to back axle. 1 set of rear stabilizers.
• Confirm 1 waste dump

Bathroom / Bedroom / Loft:

• 2 pieces shower that has the knobs. (current shower has 3 piece). Might need to caulk the knobs.
• Medicine cabinet 3 narrow shelves

Electrical

• Breaker box accessible without opening a slide.

Most likely modifications / questions:

• Pantry shelves might need updating to make them sturdier.
• No place for Roku
• No emergency hand crank for slides. manual slide out hole / mechanism
• ? does it have solar panels ?
• ? will inverter work with and without inverter ?
• What is the control in loft and bathroom
• Add support to bed lift
• Modify and improve bench seat design
• Does not have pet screen door.
• Where is bedroom AC controls.
• Are A/Cs ducted throughout the roof? Does 3rd A/C connect to ducts?
• Replace vents to closing kind.
• Where is the fresh tank fill?
