• There is probably some poison ivy, but it was not abundant.
• There are RV spots on the side at the office, but the office is deep in the park. If you are on the front edge of the campground, just park at your site.
• There are some narrow roads in the older campground area (two rings), but the new area has wide roads.
• There may be some trees close to the road in the back areas of the old campground area (two rings). There is also a dirt/gravel road back there.
• This is an active military base. You might be impacted by this. Talk to the front desk and educate yourself on what this means.

• The office has food and supplies for sale

• There is a dump station, but it is not clear where it is. We use full hookups.
• There is likely a water station, but it is not clear where it is. We use full hookups.
• There is a recycling dumpster at the turn to get to the office.
• The laundry is in the octagon building across from the office.
• Power is stable, unless there is an unannounced power outage drill. On hot sunny days, be prepared to check on your RV, if you have pets. Or make sure you have a shady spot.
• Water quality and water pressure are acceptable

• Kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats can be rented. Hourly rates are $5 to $15.
• Game gear can be checked out for free – discgolf, balls, shuffleboard, etc.
• Archery and shooting range may not be open to the public, and they operate May to November.
• Details: Types of activities, trail details, rental types and cost. local sites/parks/bike trails
• Limited local attractions. Most are 30+ minutes away.

Pineview Campground is on Fort McCoy Military base land, It not within the base, therefore, the general public and military can use. Military has priority over non-military, and military has cheaper rates. Most sites are full hookups. Each loop has a bathhouse. There are very few pull through sites, and the pull through sites are not in the best locations. We prefer the newest loop because it has a new bathhouse, is quieter, and has large back in sites with plenty of extra car parking.

The park boasts many extra amenities like laundry, putt-putt golf, playground, dog park, beach with rental equipment, bounce houses, etc.

The beach has real sand not what we see in Ohio where its sand mixed with tons of goose poop. Ohio is more of a goose #2 wading pool.

Warning: This is a functioning military base that does military things. Sometimes, they do tank gun testing and bomb testings. You will feel the shock wave in your RV. They might turn off the power for emergency drills. Your opinion on this matter is irrelevant. If you do not like it, do not stay here.

• There is a 20 ft x 30 ft asphalt parking area with a 30 ft x 70 ft gravel site pad.
