• Parking lot to the left of the check-in office have RV parking spots
• There is a $6 per person per day for adult campers. Depending on the length of your stay, you should see if the $70 Texas State Park Pass will work. It claims to allow the holder and a guest access and a second pass can be bought for $25 for the same residence.
• Maintenance is not the greatest at the park. Some things are maintained and some not.
• From the entrance:
  • the bridge going to the right has a 12,500 lb tandem axle weight limit. A properly weighted 5th wheel with a GVW of about 15,500+ might exceed this.
  • the road going left has steep hills and valleys with inadequately trimmed trees for 5th wheels.

• Camp store is by the lake near the rentals, not at the check-in office
• Need to check if the bath house is sturdy enough to be a storm shelter. We think it was cinder blocks or poured forms.

• Lakeview and Big Pine Campground loops have full hookups
• Dump stations seemed to be on the small side

• The park rents paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, rowboats, and stand-up paddle boards.
• Lots of steep hills and valley biking the roads around the park. Car might have trouble seeing bikers around hills and turns.

• Going right around the lake to camp areas 1 and 2 (i.e., Big Pine Campground), has a bridge with a tandem axle weight of 12,500 pounds. This could be an issue for larger RVs
• Going left around the lake has crazy hills and trees inadequately trimmed.
• The majority of the campsites are on the small side.
• Many of the campsites are not level to a frightening degree.
• The lake is owed by the park, so a license is not required to fish.
• You can rent paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, rowboats, and stand-up paddle boards.
• There are 50 amp full hookup sites in Lakeview and Big Pine Loops.
• 13 miles of trails and grounds are moderately maintained
• There is a store in the park
• There are several piers, bridge, and boardwalks. Wildlife includes birds, turtles, and raccoons.
• The state park does not have a laundry.
• The park is heavily forested, so the best sites will still be mostly obstructed.

• Dump station is on the main road between Big Pines and Lakeview loops.
• Dump stations seemed to be on the small side.
• Bathhouse is shared between Big Pine and Lakeview loops
• Four shower rooms in back and bathrooms in the front.
  • One shower is locked and for staff only
  • Industrial door knobs were replaced with residential ones with a smaller collar allowing a peepshow into the shower at the knob. The park is uninterested in addressing the issue.
• Water pressure and water quality was acceptable

• Site 331 is terrible in general, and it is work than terrible for big RVs.
• It is supposed to be a pull through, but it is short, narrow, and sharply bent with trees and rocks on the outside and utilities on the inside.
• There is no way that we would have been able to pull through the other side. We ended up having to pull in and back out.
• It is also very not level front-to-back and side-to-side. It was 2.5 boards on the side and almost fully extended levelers.
