John tends to take a while when photographing insects, birds, etc. I end up getting a little bored. To alleviate boredom, I end up taking selfies. This post is dedicated to selfies and keeping myself entertained while trying not to scare all the bugs and wildlife away. (On this trip, I only scared 1 bug away. I think this was a record :-))

The selfies start at the beginning of Trail #2.

Amazingly, I did not take a picture at the start of the trail. Probably because John wasn’t taking pictures.

The next pictures are in sequence of our hike. I think each stop represents one of John’s photo shoots.

I stopped to take a few flower pictures while waiting :-). The orange flower looks like a bug is inside. Maybe it is the stamen but it sure looks like an insect.

Off we go again singing “do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do.”

I took the first picture with my back to the woods. Then the trail with John in the background. I’m not sure what insect he found.

The next 2 pictures were taken from the same spot. I was trying to the get the clouds in the picture.

The next two pictures were taken in the same spot. The 2nd picture I tried focusing on the clouds.

Continuing skipping down the trail. No singing this time.

We are close to the exit at this point. This is where the cool moth / butterfly was found. Fortunately, I was able to take close up pictures with my phone. I think my phone pictures turned out almost or just as good as John’s pictures.

We’ve made it back to the road and started cartwheeling down it. The rest of the pictures were taken as we cartwheeled along the road.

After this, went back home and ate supper.
