Usually, I would replace the air filter in my vehicles vs. the dealership or oil changing shop. Mostly, I did this because it was fairly easy and inexpensive.

In all my prior vehicles, the replacement, at minimum, required a wrench or screw driver to remove the air filter cover. In some cases, the filter was just far enough back that reaching it would be difficult (at least for me) and required a stool.

I was pleasantly surprise by how user friendly and easy the Hyundai Tuscon air filter replacement was. No tools and within reach (i.e., no step stool). The only downside was that you have to go to a place like O’reilly’s Auto Parts to buy the filter. Wal-marts and discount stores did not carry the filter. The cheapest filter was only $22 which I didn’t think was too bad.
