  • Sick Little Kitty

Normal, IL, August 2026 Mackie is our geriatric kitty that’s around 15 years old with only 6 teeth left. A cat with a full mouth of teeth would have 30 teeth. We have been asked multiple times if Mackie eats rocks. He really doesn’t, but he does love to chew on plastic and toys. It…

The Problem Cats like to be where they want to be. This can be a bit annoying when you want to go into a room and shut the door. They might scratch at the door, rattle the door, or meow at the door. To prevent this problem, we decided to install pet doors where needed.…

  • Best Campsite Visitors – David & Sylvia

Chippokes State Park, VA, May 2026 I had an absolute treat when my Virginia cousins visited us in Chippokes State Park. I haven’t seen David in at least 5 years. Dave always makes me think of Uncle Dick because he looks so much like him. I remember coming to Virginia as a kid. We went…

Hillsdale State Park, KS, Oct 2025 Hillsdale State Park in Kansas has some beautiful full hookup cement pad sites. We had plenty of room to put out the bug tent and take the cats outdoors. Both the cats and us had a great time. Before the tent went up. We put the tent up so…

  • How many hours does a cat sleep per day?

Wilmer, Alabama, March 2026 We have been watching the series “My Cat from Hell” starring Jackson Galaxy the cat behaviorist. The goal of Jackson is to help family keep their cat that they feel is out of control. Fortunately, we do not have out of control cats. The biggest issue is Mackie getting bored and…
