National Mall, DC, May 2026 This post is dedicated to the other memorials not already in a blog. The John Paul Jones monument commemorates him as a war hero and founder of the navy. His crypt is in the Chapel at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. You can read more about the memorial on…

  • World War II Memorial

National Mall, DC, May 2026 I remember more facts about WWII than WW1. Still, I thought it would good to add a refresher. A major factor in WWII was the unresolved issues from WWI. • World War 1 Monument

National Mall, DC, May 2026 I remember more from school about World War II vs. World War I. So I did a little research while writing this post. The .25 miles hike starts and…

The building in town is a combination of the city hall, museum, and convenience store. We have not been there, so…

  • Mills Spring Battlefield National Monument KY Cont..

Mills Spring Battlefield National Monument Kentucky – CONTINUED… Since the Museum was closed during our original visit… We went again during operating hours on June 5th, 2024. 🙂 The front of the building had two cannons. I tried to shoot one but unfortunately (though fortunately for everyone else) there were a few missing components such…

  • Discovering Mill Spring Battlefield National Monument KY

We spent the day visiting Mill Spring Battlefield National Monument in Nancy Kentucky. Turns out that the museum is only open Wednesday through Sunday (oops). We were able to read the information post outside, collect a cancel stamp, driving tour information, Visitor Guide and tour the cemetery.
