  • Elephant Rock has light to moderate forest in the campground. A few sites should be able to get unobstructed Starlink. Many sites will be partially obstructed, and the rest of the sites will be totally obstructed.
  • Most sites had full hookups. A few that we liked had W/E only that was next to the water. Specifically site 68.
  • This was an overnight stay. We did not use the showers. The bathhouse was on the older side.
  • The bathhouse was gender divided with stalls for showers an restrooms
  • There are many pull through sites with a fairly easy path around the bathhouse to exit.
  • The dumpstation is located in Cedar Cover campground, right beside Elephant Rock.

Starlink:
  • The site sloped down slightly with a slight drop off from the concrete pad. This left the RV level while attached the truck.
    • This site would be very good for a one or two night stay without disconnecting the RV.
    • Site 2 might be better if we were staying for a longer period of time.
  • Extremely long.
  • The pad was concrete. The rest of the area was gravel that puddled with water.
  • The tree in the back might partially obstruct Starlink. The picnic table might be better for mounting than the RV ladder.
  • 300 feet to bathhouse
Alternate Sites
Site 2
  • If we stayed longer, this site is slightly better than site 3.
  • Full hookup WSE 50/30/20
  • Pull through
  • Just east of site 3. The trees might obstruct Starlink less at this site, and Starlink should work mounted on the RV ladder.
    • Closer to the tree to the northwest at only 60 ft vs 125 ft.
    • Further from the tree to the west at 55 ft vs 25 ft.
  • 300 feet to bathhouse
Site 68
  • Pull through site, but it might be easier to back in.
  • Next to the water
  • WE 50/30/20, not full hookup
  • Muddy during and after rain
  • May act like a drainage ditch in the rain
  • Might be able to get a relatively unobstructed Starlink behind the RV near the shoreline. Starlink antenna might also wash into the lake in the rain.
  • 500 feet to bathhouse
