Lake Murray State Park, OK, Feb 2026
Park Information
- Park has a laundry. The machines looked a little on the worn out side.
- Park has a lodge
- Park has a seasonally open pool
- 10 miles of hiking trails
- The picnic tables are concrete, and they cannot be moved.
- Lake Murray Water Sport & Mini Golf has rentals, including canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, paddle boats, on up to motorized boats.
- Park has a tennis court
- Park has a gift shop
- Park has a naturalist at the Tucker Tower Nature center.
Bathroom / Dump Station / Water Stations
- Most sites had full hookups. A few that we liked had W/E only that was next to the water. Specifically site 68.
- This was an overnight stay. We did not use the showers. The bathhouse was on the older side.
- There are many pull through sites with a fairly easy path around the bathhouse to exit.

- Starlink: Elephant Rock has Light to moderate forest in the campground. A few sites should be able to get unobstructed Starlink. Many sites will be partially obstructed, and the rest of the sites will be totally obstructed.
Park Pictures
We only stopped over night, so we do not have any overall park pictures.
Site 3
- The site sloped down slightly with a slight drop off from the concrete pad. This left the RV level while attached the truck. John thought site 2 might be better if we were staying for a longer period of time.
- Extremely long. At least 100 + feet.
- The pad was cement. The rest of the area was gravel that puddled with water.
- The tree in the back might partially obstruct Starlink. Picnic table might be better for mounting than the RV.
- 300 feet to bathhouse
Alternate Sites
Site 2
- John thought if we stayed longer site 2 might be better.

- Pull through
- Very similar to site 3. The tree is at the northwest side, but it is 60 feet away from the back of the trailer (i.e., Starlink Antenna). The trees might obstruct Starlink less at this site.
- 300 feet to bathhouse
Site 68
- Pull through site. Though John might want to back into it.
- Next to the water
- E50 / Water only
- Muddy during after rain
- May act like a drainage ditch in the rain
- Might be able to get a relatively unobstructed Starlink behind the RV near the shoreline. Starlink might also wash into the lake in the rain.
- 500 feet to bathhouse
